Example Map

A  Here’s an example of the type of map you might see on this website. The example map shows these features:

yellow.gif (80 bytes)  A selected (highlighted) parcel
orange.gif (75 bytes)  A 100-year floodplain
green.gif (75 bytes)  A 500-year floodplain
red.gif (75 bytes)  A floodway

B  This is the toolbar on the map page.

C   These are the tabs you use to search by PIN, by address, or by name. To locate a parcel, click one of the tabs, fill in the blank, and click .

D   You can toggle this area of the map page to list either the layers or the legend. The example shows the layers. When you display the legend, its information is dynamic. It lists the features in whatever layers you have displayed through the layer list, such as land use and zoning. To turn on one or more layers, check the box beside the layer name, then click . The layers at the top of the list will appear on top of the map, possibly obscuring the layers listed further down the list.

E  The text displayed in this part of the screen changes, depending on what you’re doing. The Identify, Find, Measure, Buffer, Print, and Floodplain Analysis information all displays here. When a Floodplain Analysis determines that a parcel is in a floodplain or a floodway, the button for an Elevation Letter Request is here.
